InstaScroll Mind Noodling

Scrolling through my Instagram feed and seeing these headlines about this business buying this other business for this many billions, and that business buying that other business for this many billion, trillion, fafillion, megaChamillion… It’s crazy talk at this point.

These aren’t even real money numbers anymore. I mean, I know and understand that billion, trillion, those are actual numbers, and that amount of money actually does exist. What I’m saying is, that amount of money is only real for like 5 people in the world. None of us players and NPCs have any actual realistic concept of what that type of money actually means or looks like or anything.

All I know is that us players and NPCs don’t benefit from huge exchange like that, we generally get the ass end of those deals, either by mass layoffs or by having to pay for it through our working class taxes. Because at this point we should all, or mostly, know that those 4 ½ families that actually have a concept of what a billion/trillion/gagillion dollars are, definitely don’t work or pay for what generates that money, let alone pay taxes.

Hence why we have become some of the most overworked and underpaid people in a “developed” country. At least that used to be the case, I’ve been mostly unplugged from the “news” entertainment, for my own mental and emotional well-being of course, so I might just be spewing outdated bullshit. Good thing everyone does their own research and doesn’t just believe what they hear.
